We cannot stress enough the importance of making quick and accurate returns of salmon catches, even if nothing has been caught. Recording catch data is one (perhaps the best, certainly the most cost effective) way of determining the success of our river restoration works. Although affected by short term variations in weather and water conditions, the longer term data set will build an accurate picture of our salmon runs. Catch returns can be made quickly via our online form for both Passport and non-Passport waters. Most of our reporting is from the Wye. Where a salmon has come from another river we will state accordingly.

9:59 am 19 lber taken yesterday on a Willie Gunn fly from the Larder pool, Sheepwash.
9:30 am Another 2 fish from Wyesham yesterday afternoon, 1 x 8lbs and 1 x 9lbs. Martin Bowler was responsible for 4 of the 5 salmon yesterday with Ray Morris sneaking the last 9lber in at last knockings!

9:45 pm Richard Perrett reports a 10lb fish from Biblins run, Seven Sisters on a 2" copper tube.
2:53 pm Three salmon off Wyesham this morning and another run of fish seen moving through. 2 x 9 lbers and 1 x 11 lbs all on spinner but the water will take a fly.
2:45 pm 2 from Courtfield yesterday 12lb and 18lb, both fell to a spinner.
8:02 am Yesterday Philip McWalter caught a 12lb fish from the Washings at Wyesham.
