We cannot stress enough the importance of making quick and accurate returns of salmon catches, even if nothing has been caught. Recording catch data is one (perhaps the best, certainly the most cost effective) way of determining the success of our river restoration works. Although affected by short term variations in weather and water conditions, the longer term data set will build an accurate picture of our salmon runs. Catch returns can be made quickly via our online form for both Passport and non-Passport waters. Most of our reporting is from the Wye. Where a salmon has come from another river we will state accordingly.

4:33 pm Whitney Court: Another 10 lb fish to Brian Prestbury this afternoon around 3.30pm on a single hook FC.
4:26 pm Goodrich Court : 15lbs Salmon for Simon Dixon today. Caught on Mepps spinner and returned safely to the Vanstone Pool.
3:12 pm Swan Meadow: 2 more fish report for the last couple of weeks, brings their total up to 11 this year.
2:09 pm Ty Newydd: Slightly coloured 11 pounder caught on size 10 Cascade at Upper Planks about 6pm yesterday by Andrew Kelton.

5:29 pm Wyesham: 16.5lbs fresh on a Mepps for Barry Warwick
11:37 am Nyth: The river came up on Saturday and the fish became very active. Fish were showing in numerous pools. Three caught, two hooked and lost and as many again risen. Sunday 2 more caught. One of the salmon was a 4lb grilse.
