Weather a struggle, occasional heavy showers. Chub at weir and below boat house, rocks a problem beneath the wall. A good location just the wrong day. Easy access and a beautiful stretch. Will be back. Broken a couple of times !!!

River looked great with a tinge and about .7 m up. Access to most swims opposite the gardens especially boat house not really possible . Small beach at top end was nice however and opened account here with 2 good barbel on meat . Eel tempted me onto float and enjoyed trotting meat and corn for 1 lost barbel and about 100 dace - some very nice ones. Can't believe we didn't contact any good chub. We fished 10- 6. Pub calling.

Great day again. Last one of a three day trip. Simple tactics, in the right place and you get the results. Caught with canoes going by and people about in the gardens opposite. Enjoy.
