Gorgeous sunny day, but water still high and coloured. A couple of fish seen moving, although they might have been Twaite Shad - not that I caught any of those either! I did catch a nice sea trout though, which was scant consolation for the lack of salmon.

A very wet and windy day , first time fishing this beat , so nice pools and runs . Let’s hope the water levels rise a bit to push a few fish up . Enjoyable day out though .

Fantastic day to be out, with the river in fine fettle although could have done without the cold north wind. Saw nothing in the morning but hooked a strong fish in Maddox after lunch, sadly though it came off before we could land it. Saw other fish jump in Vanstone, Dog hole and The V.
