River quite low at dent bank and the fish were in pockets. Dry flies pulled them up, with a couple of the total a very decent size. Better when there is a little rain a couple of days before though.

Another hot and bright day, but water temperature ok (about 16 C) and the fish prepared to rise opportunistically. 6 grayling to 14", and 3 trout to 12", on owner Shaun's generic dry/emerger (14) and mainly on Euro-nymph. I'm sure I could have caught a lot more on the latter if I'd been competent.

Another great day with slightly cooler weather a few hatches coming off in the day but having to switch between dries and nymphs constantly to make the most of the opportunities that presented themselves. A big thanks to Sean and Rachel for operating a great couple of beats and welcoming me to the river. With Shaun joining me, trout up to 2lb and best grayling over 50cm on the day all fish returned

Beat:Afon Ogwen
Fishing:Trout (River)
No. of Anglers:1
Upper section of Afon Ogwen fished with no luck. Late in the day fishing to avoid the bright and hot weather. In the small pools in Ogwen Falls had a take on a black/green beetle but never managed to set the hook. The section in the valley was hard to fish due to access.
