Water a bit high, and a cold day. Small hatch I'm the afternoon resulting in 10 mins action. Three hookups and one grayling taken on a #18 BWO effort. Lovely fish.

Lost a fish on beat 4 just after 9 spent the next 6 hours in a bone chilling wind hoping for another bite. Alas I went home frozen. Beautiful fishery .

Short session from lunchtime. River dropping after the recent rain but still running fairly fast through the shallower sections.
Access was difficult and most of the bank could benefit from a trim. Trotting for grayling but came away having caught one WBT. Hatch of March browns seen around 1pm but no sign of surface feeding.

Fished slack at bottom of stretch and had a couple of bites but no fish.....then despite my best attempts at avoiding it, the 3rd loss of gear to the "snag" I decided to move up to the middle of the beat.
All caught on spam....some straight lead, some feeder. Getting regular bites on hair pellet but no fish....assume chub. A change of tactic would have caught the chub, but stuck it out for Barbel. All in all a pleasant last day for me. Roll on next season.

Tough day with temperature keeping low and easterly wind. 4 anglers, 3 hoping for an end of season barbel or two, the other out for Pike.
Some nice size chub to 5lbs from lower end. Nothing in top field.

Swims in front of the weir garden very snaggy. Fished a lilt further downstream. Had no bites on crab and krill boilies or Sonu spicy sausage pellets. Brother had 2 nice chub of 4 and 6lb on meat.

Nice venue...will definitely go back next season in better conditions. Think the snow from last Saturday might have affected water temp too much.
