A good few salmon seen jumping in the deeper pools, but dark resident fish rather than runners. Caught a good bag of chub on a frances, including a 3lb specimen.

A warm day. The threatened rain never materialised. Water level rose marginally during the day to .509 on the Ross gauge.
There were salmon showing but not taking. Only one or two canoes seen in the early afternoon. Lovely water. It would be a fabulous beat on which to hook a salmon.
