Fished the first field due to conditions with fish caught and a few missed in each swim fished. Fantastic looking beat plenty of swims - this beat offers something for all conditions. Biggest fish 10lb 8 oz to my mate.... all others probably between 4-7lb.

River high and rising. Debris coming down all the time, so tricky conditions. Swims accessible though. Good sized barbel to 9lb. Excellent fish. Caught on boillie.

The river was carrying about 2 metres of water when arrived and rose by 60cms whilst we were there, so it was quite challenging. We fished in a slack off the large concrete platform at the top of the beat by the life ring. I had a 4 pound chub on luncheon meat close-up with 3 ounce feeder. My companion had a six pound barbel, followed by an eight pounder and a five pound chub, all on boilies. These were fished on a hair rigged braid and a straight 3 ounce lead. We both used PVA bags with free offerings and a small amount of groundball.

Feeder fished pellets on flooded river which was 2ft higher than the day before. I tried smelly paste and flavoured luncheon meat but no bites to big baits.
