Really great day to be out with warm sunshine but not for fishing... Didn't see any fish but lovely fly water.

Great days fishing at Goodrich. Finally some decent conditions. Big thanks to Mick Sutton for advice, expertise and help to land my first Salmon. 14lb cock fish from the doghole on a black/red flying C.

1 Salmon

14lb salmon caught in the dog hole on a FC, not good conditions as willow tree cuttings coming down the river most of the day, also large area of willow tree cuttings caught up in key areas for spinning, the Vanstone the dog hole and the v.

Strong winds all day, some rain, no fish seen. Much debris, branches etc. in the river. I enjoyed my day and shall return later in May as time permits.

Nothing to report.

Wayne little had a cracking fresh Salmon of 18.5lb from the Dog hole also lost one from the Vanstone.
Andy Parker had a 9lb fresh Salmon from The Corner Stone then moved up stream and lost one at the Stones. All fish on Flying c.

11lb salmon caught on spinner good conditions on river

Day abandoned at 2-30 due to artic weather. No fish seen or caught.

First time on the Wye - thoroughly enjoyed it, used fly all day unfortunately no fish caught.
