no trout caught. hooked one first cast worming on bubble float came off reeling it in. hooked another late afternoon on tasmanian devil lure. came off again reeling it in. hooked another on mepps spinner. again came off. luck just wasnt in i guess. better luck next time hopefully....

Fished the bottom 3 fields from early afternoon to 8pm - several fish rising in the slower water but non to my dry fly. I tried everything in the box.
Fished the channel with nymph and dry and eventually had a take on a dry - small fish and lost it
Water was good my catching was not.

A tough day, river still low and bites hard to come by.
2 barbel both around 6lb from faster water and two consolation chub

With the limited rods booked on, Terry kindly offered the pick of any of the beats between us all. I fished parts of beats 4, 5 & 6 during the day from around 1pm. The water was low, blanket weed on the stones, no observed activity or bites. Still great to be on the water.
Moved to beat 2 for the last couple of hours. Lovely water. Trying boilies for only the second time.
a half pound chub and as the light began to fade a perfect 7lb hard-fighting barbel. Well worth the wait.

Only one fishable and potentially fish-holding swim along the whole length, very steep banks, not helped by low flow.
