To fish the beat without Mick would be like eating cheese without the biscuits,bread without the jam. A fabulous day, water a bit high and far too cold but expected a pull in every pool thanks to Micks guidance.Thank you again.

First visit to Goodrich Court, tried spinning with flying C, mepp and Devon minnow to no avail. Didn't see any fish whatsoever. Water level and clarity was good, cold gusty Easterly wind only down side. Thoroughly enjoyed the day. Look forward to visiting later in the season. Used the Hostelrie at Goodrich for overnight stay, superb food and accomm.

Wash Out - I didn't fish.

Cloudy with cool northerly downstream wind, low water at 8" and 50F. 6lb coloured salmon from bottom of Gabions and 8lb Salmon from Vanstone Stream, both on #12 red shrimp. Much Himalayan Balsam in flower along bank.

Several fish showing but failed to tempt anything.

Landed an 18lb cock fish from the Dog Hole. Lost another from the V, caught on a Bann Special.
Canoe traffic very light today (only saw one), but lots of detached weed coming down the river today which was a nuisance. Really enjoyable few days on the Wye. Thank you!
