Sugwas very different to when I first visited probably 15 years ago. Then access to the river was quite easy , now it’s very poor. ‘Others’ were dace. Unfortunately not a place that I will return to.

A short mid morning session which was ruined by a seemingly endless train of canoeists intent on beaching on any gravel area and making as much noise as possible, these particular people had zero respect for the river, it's wildlife and anglers.
Having pointed out on 2 separate occasions that they were in fact trespassing and that the wye Valley is not a public toilet I was met with the usual verbal abuse.!
A poignant reminder why I tend to avoid fishing the wye in the summer months.

My son Fish there didn’t catch anything lot of cray fish dead and alive .Lake has beautiful surroundings but What is wrong with people.Lot of rubbish on bank bottles cigarette buds ,vapes left purposely under rocks.Fishing lines left just like that .We picked few things as we were leaving but.How can you expect people to pay for this definitely not coming back.
