River running fairly high but clear. A variety of flies coming off did not tempt the fish to rise, with only the odd fish showing itself throughout the day. The catch was made up of mainly smaller fish with a couple of 12" and the best of 15" which were taken on nymphs fished on a French leader set up. A nice beat that suits a right handed caster fishing upstream.

Two small brown trout caught using a small black nymph - both fish returned. Water levels were higher than usual and water slightly brown. No surfaces activity.

This is a stunning location and very peaceful. Sadly no fish but lovely to be there. Lots of bedrock and no fish showing. I fished a wet fly but I suspect that a weighted nymph may be necessary.

Caught one small trout (6") and returned it using brown hare dry fly. Two more hooked but not landed using small blue nymph. Wet weather, fast flowing water, slightly cloudy. Highly recommend wading staff.

I took a chance and booked this beat in advance of my short break near Brecon. It lives up the the description, a beautiful stretch of water. The river was slightly coloured and flowing quite swiftly. A gusty, showery day made life difficult and I saw little evidence of fish on the surface.
Tried just about everything, dry, wet and nymphs. I eventually tempted an nine inch trout with a Walkers Mayfly Nymph in the Waterfall Pool. I connected with something bigger later but the excitement didn't last very long.
If only I'd booked it for the next evening.... that's life.

Fish this stretch along with Cefn Rhosan Fawr, which is the other bank. Beautiful fishing throughout it's length. The top section of this beat is truly stunning but difficult fishing. We caught 3 trout up to a pound, all returned.

Nothing of notable size but did loose one decent fish, all caught on nymph, no real sign of surface activity.

A beautiful stretch of river but nothing rising and no success with a nymph. Did however see an otter! Strongly recommend a wading staff on this section of the river.

1 brownie caught on fly, river was a little bit high and still quite brown but never the less a very enjoyable day out in very picturesque surroundings.
Fish caught was around the pound mark and in excellent condition.
