Not a good days fishing at all!!!
People paddle boarding and believe it or not swimming through where I was fishing ! Kids Jumping in shouting and screaming pointless even buying the ticket it seems like every man and his campervan stops off here!! And as soon as the bailiffs go they’re in, wet suits the lot
Had a group of 8 foreign men approach me and my daughter and ask if they could light a fire and have a bbq right next to us!!
What is going on????

My first time trying this beat and it won’t be the last! Beautiful canopy covered stream but still good amount of space to flick a sideways cast away (mostly!). Arrived around 9am and hit back to car at 12:30 ish. Didn’t fish the full beat as needed to get back. I’m intrigued what it’s like where the banks become more gorge like! Stuck with a dry and managed 5 to hand with another 5-10 missed or long range releases. Plenty of insect life but no free rising fish, so prospecting likely holding runs brought them up to the dry. Bedrock wading fine….very different to my local Arrow stream bed though.

Lovely way to spend an evening of about 3 hours fishing. Caught 3 small trout the largest of which was about 8 inches long .All caught on red/brown bodied cdc Lots of fly life about from 8 onwards including quite a few mayflies which they didn’t seem bothered about

Who would have anticipated a heat wave in May? It was even too hot for the fly life and no fish rising. 3 WBT up to 13" on dry droppers in the margins of the quicker water. Nice long lunch on the river bank.

A blissful, highly memorable day on a very scenic beat with forest and mountains. Patchy rises, but some beautiful fish up to 2.5lbs. World class fishing. The river came alive with rises late in the evening, but struggled to match the hatch, so only caught about 2% of the fish covered. The torment of Tantalus.
