River high and falling at start of day but rising again by the afternoon. 2 anglers for full day and tried 5 swims. Fished hard with lots of different baits(pellet, luncheon meat sweetcorn etc) with some success. Barbel 5 to 8 pound and small chub

Landed 3 chub on ledger tactics .lost a barbel in fast flow. Difficult conditions and slippery banks made the fishing hard work but i will be back

Conditions were tricky on a very high river but managed one at 9lb 8oz and lost two in the fast flow. Fished in the woods in a comfortable swim. The hill was also a lot better to drive on.

Arrived at midday river up and with a good colour water temp 13 deg heavy rain for most of the session first barbel after 30 mins then bites steady until I left at 5.Barbel weighed 5lb 2oz, 5lb9oz, 6lb,6lb 7oz,8lb 8oz,8lb10oz and 9lb14oz all caught on ground bait feeder with pellet and meat on the hook the other was an eel.

Report for PF. River conditions were excellent, with the river rising after 2 days rain. Barbel we’re in a feeding frenzy with the biggest being exactly 10lb. Fantastic day!

River was high and rising. Weather was sun and clouds, no rain that day.

Heavy rain. Fished 3 hours. River higher than normal. Chocolate colour. Fast flow.
0 fish caught.

Two weather warnings in place, the rain was hammering down all day and the river high & fast.
Managed to snag a couple of Barbel on the halibut pellets.
