Tough day as the blustery rain set in. River still low but managed a Barbel and decent Chub from top Crib. Some Chub caught near the wood car park too.

Day 2 of 4. Similar conditions. 3 more Barbel from the top crib and numerous Chub caught towards the end of the Meadow in a freshly cut swim.

River Low and first time on the beat. Really impressed with the fishery manager Peter, who showed us some good swims that looked likely.
We all managed some chub and 2 of us on the top Crib had 3 barbel between us. Biggest 8lb. Not bad in bright tough conditions.

River slow shallow and very weedy, rather a lot of noisey reckless canoes again!
Fished with ledger mostly meat and corn. Quite a slow day really 1 eel.

2 Great days fishing @ Thomas Wood. Fishing was outstanding as we had some rain previous 2 days. The fish caught on a method feeder. Monday fishing returned 7 fish with the biggest being a barbel of 10lb 6oz and gave a great fight. Tuesday was a quiet morning but the afternoon brought one small barbel around 2lb. Several fish lost in the afternoon/ early evening due to snagging and braking of tackle. And even a straight bending of a hook. But on the whole 2 great days @ Thomas Wood and would highly recommend on going.

A lovely evening on the river made better by a lovely barbel of 9lb 8ozs. Two modest chub followed with the obligatory couple of eels. All fish fell to meat and were caught in the wooded section of the beat
