2 Anglers. 4 barbel 3 chub. Lucky with the mild weather. River gently rising throughout the day. Mainly fish on feeder/ pellet. One good barbel in in the morning and three later in the day just before dusk. Both fished in the first stretch from the car park in a number of different swims. Kingfishers ever present. By the end of the day trees going downstream! Only a few canoes all very pleasant. Take heed about the hill and thanks to those showing kindness/patience getting us out of a pickle.

Last day of three on the beautiful River Wye. First 2 days produced 17 barbel so I was looking forward to today but a horrible wind, bright sunshine and falling river made it difficult.

All 3 fish caught near the first car park on glugged Robin Reds - one at 09.30 and the last 2 just as the light faded. Very enjoyable day nonetheless

Very good day with 4 Barbel all weighing 9lb something, plus another at 4 c. 5/6lb. Still waiting for my first River Wye double, but getting close. The fishing died for an hour 4-5pm, after wondering why for a bit an Otter brazenly popped up right in front of me. That was a worthwhile trade I reckon! Throw in a Kingfisher and a good few 3-5lb Chub I went home happy.

Short afternoon session on the river. Slow start with bites coming in the late afternoon and early evening. Fish in excellent condition - would come back for a longer session. Access to river was good although there was heavy rain in the morning, so 4WD recommended.
