Rapidly rising river. Banks treacherous. My favourite conditions!

8 Barbel, 1 Chub

The land owner has certainly done quite a bit of work recently by clearing and opening up more swims. We were last on this fishery in September and we certainly didn't see as many places to fish as this time. We really appreciate the hard work and had a much better day with loads more choice.

9 Barbel

River 1 metre above summer levels, good strong flow and perfect colour.
Fish came throughout the day although we had to search for them by changing swims frequently. Largest fish 9lbs 12ozs
Disappointing lack of swims at the lower end of the beat. However, a very enjoyable day.

7 Barbel, 1 Chub

River up and coloured but managed to land 5 barbel in the near side slacks mid fishery.

Different river conditions due to levels and debris. Only 50% of the bank space is accessible due to being overgrown with trees.

River several feet up. Barbel came early afternoon. Very quiet thereafter.

Another hot sunny day. Arrived mid afternoon and started fishing around 4 o’clock with pellet and feeder.
Had plenty of fish in front of me as the line was twitching constantly. But the fish weren’t that interested in what I had to offer them, so I was pleased to end with three! Great stretch of river if a little overgrown and access would be tricky in wet conditions.

3 Barbel

Low clear conditions with high pressure made fishing difficult but we managed 12 barbel between two rids in the swims at the top of the breat. Access to many swims was difficult restricting choice. Also alnglers on the far bank meant some good swims not available. Plenty of canoes too but everyone very considerate. Enjoyable day.
