A fantastic days fishing despite the rainy conditions! A mixed bag of over 30 grayling and trout to the net with a few others lost just at the point of landing. The weather turned cold and wet from mid-day, but we continued to catch on a variety of methods, with around five fish taking the dry. Fantastic!

A quite disappointing day. The beat was over roded with 6 rods from 3 differing parties, meant that we were always on top of one another. Plus rods fishing the upper section on the opposite bank.
I was told the week before that the beat was limited to 3 unless the party was all together. A great shame, I had invited a friend down who had travelled nearly 300 miles to come fishing on what we thought would be exclusive water not sure they will be back.

A superb day. Started off fishing the duo N.Z. style and was in to fish straight away. Hooked a couple of grayling on the small beaded H.E but noticed several fish coming up to the small Klink and turning away ay the last minute. I soon realised that the nymph was impeding presentation and so off it came with instant results! Both trout (mainly in the morning - best 16") and grayling (best 17") came to the dry throughout the day and into the late afternoon / evening. I ended up with 15 - 20 grayling and 7 or 8 trout. Did unfortunately see two goosanders and a couple of the grayling showed signs of stab marks.

Three of us fishing using one fly rod each for two days on a quest to catch grayling at Cefnllysgwynne.
Lovely river with a mixture of gravel runs, deep pools, and rapids but the fishing was not easy which made it all the more pleasureable when we caught. Between the three of us we managed four grayling and three small brown trout on a mixture of flies and these seemed to come mostly in the deeper areas on the lower stretches on the beat which was two or three miles long. We all caught at least one grayling each so got what we came for and enjoyed the challenge.

Only two rods fished on the day. Fish caught and successfully returned were - 1 grayling (2lb) on small copperhead nymph, 2 wild brown trout (approx half pound each) on same nymph and 2 small salmon approx 4 inches in length. It was a fabulous day on one of the most beautiful rivers I have fished. I will definitely be back. Thank you for your help. Kind regards.

After several salmon parr, hooked a very big grayling only for it to get away. After that my fishing went downhill and I struggled, catching just the odd troutlet and small grayling and more parr ( all on small wets). A lovely day though and great fun trying different techniques in the myriad of different swims that are on offer. Can't wait to come back to try some of the swims I never had time to fish.

A strong blustery wind meant that I caught more leaves than fish but I did manage to catch 2 nice grayling and a 12oz trout on North Country Spiders. Rain sadly brought an enjoyable day to an early end.

2 Brown Trout to 1.25lbs and 4 Grayling to 1.5lbs. Good weather in the morning provided plenty of surface activity particularly around midday. However all this changed at 1.30pm when the wind strengthened and put the fish down.

Caught about dozen fish between us, all Grayling bar one or two small Brownies. Grayling all a good average size, biggest about 1 ¾ lbs. River level good and a nice sunny day spoilt by a cold breeze and very cold water temperature which seemed to drive the fish in to the deep slow water opposite the church. Unfortunately it gets quite deep here making wading difficult. Virtually no fly life and very few rises all day. Majority of fish caught on PT nymph and Dry stimulators.
