Beautiful location. Low level and little or no activity. Difficult casting but managed to get 2 browns. Thanks.

A tough but enjoyable day - Water low and clear. Lost a couple spitting barbless hooks and missed a donkey of around 4lb which came to a daddy long legs. Best fish around 1 1/2 lb.
We stayed until 3 as needed to get back to London. Will definitely be back as it warms up.

We had a very nice time, but not a trout in sight! We did see a moorhen which might be of interest to you.

A very tough day, on a beautiful stretch of river. Bright sunlight, and very low, crystal clear water made the going hard, and we tried every method we know but nothing could be tempted. We only saw one fish holding in water just below the bridge, and despite plenty of flies coming off the water throughout the day, nothing rose to take them. Must try harder.

Beautiful stretch, sporadic LDO and march brown hatch through out the day. Only Saw two fish rise and managed to tempt one of them to take a para adams but missed the strike slipping around on the bed rock. Nil points.

Fished all of Usk and a couple of pools on the Crai in a downstream gale. One fish sighted and caught on tungsten size 14 GRHE in tail of pool, 15 inches. Fished deep nymph through gutters and pool necks and added in a waterhen bloa for the faster water but not a single touch for the rest of the day. Heavy hatch of LDO around 2-3pm but nothing rising. Beautiful beat, hard fishing.

What a fabulous stretch of river this is. Every pool is a challenge both physically and mentally. Bright conditions requiring considerable thought about approach to avoid shadow and glare. Occasional LDO hatching only. Three good trout to fifteen inches caught and returned, all on nymph.

Tried on nymphs until midday without luck. Didn't se a single fish rising, no signs of fly life apart from sporadic sedges. The beat is fantastic though, it feels like an environment from J.R.R.Tolkien. Lovely day.
