I caught one very tiny wild brown trout with Elk Hare Caddis #18. I could see a lot of rises from the evening and I got a few strikes but not successful but the only one.

My friend caught a 30cm wild brown trout with Pheasant Tail Nymph and a 20cm wild brown trout with a Mayfly.

3 small fish 6-8in returned safely. All on dry from tail of pools 2 on parachute adams and 1 on black gnat. River very low and no rain for weeks, apparently. Pretty stretch but rather tricky with low water.

Only two small trout to nymph. Unbelievably hard going -v. bright, boiling hot and we could only fish the hours either side of lunch. Might have got better if we'd stayed later. Water v. low. V. beautiful tho.

3 x trout 9 -11 inches. A cold, wet windy day, but by late afternoon a few olives thought they might brave the elements and some smallish fish accepted a Cree Duster. Earlier I lost a heavy fish hooked on a nymph deep in the gutters which certainly impressed me during the brief time it was attached. Yet another great escape! Otherwise the day was memorable because (a) I forgot my rain jacket and (b) ricked my back climbing out of the car.

Caught nothing, only saw a couple of small trout all day. That said, plenty of fly activity and the beat seemed good with lots of variety. Quite difficult to access R. Crai lots of clambering over wire fences needed.
