First time on this beat started off in the first field upstream with only the one chub mid day decided to go up the hill to the other side of the wooded section pick a swim at the bottom of the first field river looked in good condition up a bit and coloured fished the inside line where it was a bit slower pace and caught through out the day will be back lovely beat fish ranged between 6 and 9.2 being the biggest.

Great day on the river despite being hamstrung by one snapped rod on arrival meaning we had to share one rod for the whole day.

We fished from 9am and the chub were obliging during the day. The barbel started feeding at dusk, as expected. All five falling to double 8mm krill pellets from the second swim downstream of the woods within a period of 1 hour.

5 Barbel, 4 Chub

River very high and fast, but still a few slacks. Barbel up to 6lbs but lost a bigger one. Chub was a monster, biggest I have seen, but after I landed and unhooked it I slipped on the wet banks and it got away before I weighed or photo'ed it. All fish on pellet from the stretch downstream of the woods. Lovely spot, delightful evening.

River was quite high, 8 barbel. landed to 11.4lbs 3 chub up to 5.2lbs on krill boilies and elipse pelletes. Feeder fishing.

8 barbel landed to 11.4lbs and 3 chub to 5.2lbs all on fishmeal boilies and pellets. Feeder fishing on gravely area.

River high and rising. Debris coming down all the time, so tricky conditions. Swims accessible though. Good sized barbel to 9lb. Excellent fish. Caught on boillie.

8 Barbel

The river was quite high and coloured for our visit, we fished below the forest section for the whole day.
3 of the barbel were caught on meat, 3 on pellet. Largest of the day was 8lb 4, none smaller than 6lb. The chub was caught at last Knockings on pellet.

We fished from 8am until an hour after sunset. We had no bites until around mid day then they came every couple of hours.
By far the most prolific was near sunset and that time after dark where 4 fish were landed.

River very high, fished first meadow, only able to fish 2 pegs, majority of fish from first peg upstream,
River dropped by 2-3ft during afternoon according to locals it was still 8-10ft above normal.
