The river looked good, decent flow and some colour. Despite the bright conditions fish came throughout the day.The Chub were quite prolific but a few Barbel did show, the best = 8lb. 7oz. Majority of the Chub in the 3 to 5 lbs. Barbel to
meat and pellet, Chub to meat, pellet but the majority to trotted bred flake, great fun.
Note to WUF, Disappointing to see a Tarzan swing(Much used) on a tree at the bottom of the meadow below the woods,
potential for confrontation, not mention at least 100m totally unfishable. Not good.

River in good condition. Fished 2 x swims above the hut initially on pellets for the first couple of hours and caught 1 x small chub. Switched to meat and lost a nice barbel, then caught a cracking chub followed by some smaller chub.

Fantastic day which made all the driving worthwhile. River at 0.9m on Mordiford gauge, falling slightly during the day. Very slippy underfoot conditions which resulted in a couple of cartoon like falls in the woods and a broken reel handle (luckily spare reel in bag). Fished the Lucky Stone for most of the day and took all fish from there except for one barbel at the tail end of the day in the top field. The swim was as snaggy as ever and the fish count could have been 50% higher. But overall a red letter day.

Fished both lower stretch and wooded area (rain had made underfoot conditions treacherous in the woods, (most definitely not recommended without climbing rope as a safety line).
Fish came throughout the day to both pellets & meat.

Fished the woods section. Plenty of chubby to around 6lbs. 3 barbel were around 4lbs, 6lbs and 8lbs. Lost quite a lot of and tackle but that appears to be the norm here.

3 Barbel, 35 Chub
