Very disappointed that no effort had been made to make any swims. It's a few years since I last fished this beat and it looks like no attempt has been made to clear the bank. Luckily we caught a few chub so the day was not a complete disappointment.

Nice afternoon/evening fishing. Weather was really kind. Caught a some good fish but was slow going. Wonderful to be at Creel again.

The water level was back up again quite a bit and very coloured. I tried several places with no success and returned to the peg I started from on Wednesday and had two chub and a small barbel at 8.00pm.

The river had dropped about a foot overnight and we had another place to fish from, two barbel today and a few chub

A bit disappointed at the limited number of places to fish from safely, to say the backs are steep would be an understatement. The far bank is totally unfishable from the bank apart from the island where the only access would be wading in low water conditions.. In my opinion it is misleading to advertise fishing from both banks. Probably wouldn't fish here again.
