This was our first visit to this beat and it truly is in the middle of nowhere - the caravans at the bottom of the stretch do spoil the view somewhat but there was no real noise or disturbance from them.
We arrived at 4pm and started off rolling some meat in the first field as it looked too good to pass up. The fish were not very obliging however and a solitary eel was all that we could manage. We then moved down to the island to a deep run that looked perfect. We had a chub first cast but after 2 hours we hadn't had any more knocks. We moved back upstream and settled into a swim and managed a few chub in quick succession then I hooked a barbel which threw the hook in on of the many trees littering the nearside bank. Fortunately we managed to get the barbel going and ended the evening with 9 fish up to 8lb. This was a huge framed fish but was completely empty and in the autumn would comfortably be over 9lb.
A lovely beat that I will looked forward to returning to in September and there are a couple of other areas I would like to explore.

A good evening session with the river lower than previously but still with colour, and the weather calm, cloudy and showery. Fish caught throughout on pellet and meat. Largest barbel about 6.5 lbs. Observed that several swims on the lower, faster water are now inaccessible following winter floods.

Another great day on the Creel, the weather was on the warm side, fish not too keen on feeding after around 14:00, all fish caught on pellets and feeder, the caravans do spoil the view of the lower part of the fishery however the people were all friendly, thank you WUF for having this great beat on your books.

A very slow day on an unexpectedly high and coloured river. Fishable water was hard to find and the barbel in particular seemed very reluctant to feed. A handful of fish came to the feeder in the morning; but we didn't see one after mid-day despite staying until sunset. Still, a pleasure to fish a very beautiful beat. As noted by others, steep banks make some swims difficult to access, especially at the top of the beat; and the presence of a busy caravan club in the bottom field is not very inviting for those wanting peace and quiet.

A new beat for us and with limited time due to travelling home, started in the middle faster water and I had a barbel 3rd cast as did CH in the next swim but that was it for barbel, a couple of chub came out. Moved up stream and almost ready to call it a day at 3.00pm, suddenly had a barbel and then CH had a further 4 plus lots of chub, hung around till 5.0pm and CH was still catching but we had to call it a day, will be back to this lovely beat.

River was around 8-10" up with a faint tinge of colour. Fished the faster water at the upstream end of the beat with only a 3lb Chub to show for my efforts. Moved downstream to the slower paced water in the afternoon and caught a few Barbel on luncheon meat. A lovely stretch in beautiful surroundings.

River was 3ft up but many fishing pegs still available to fish from. Three of us fished directly down from the church to the left and right of the fallen tree. Caught using pellet and meat with top barbel weighing 9lb. Nice stretch of river but banks can be quite steep.

First visit to this beat and it wont be the last. Really pretty part of the river with a variety of water to fish.
Really good conditions in the morning with the river coming down only for it to rise again in the afternoon.
7 Barbel and 8 Chub caught, and probably could have had a few more had we stayed in the most productive spot in the morning.
