River at 1.2 on the Ross gauge and dropped 0.2 during the day. The 3 anglers fished top, middle and bottom of the beat and all had barbel, 4, 1 and 3 using either GB or hemp feeders and pellet hookbaits. The barbel were between 4 and 6.04 and Barbel for all meant a successful if not a hectic day.

River coloured and running high when we arrived, fished the Rock pool with clarity about 2/3 foot with no luck, down to mill pool and the same verdict, then we went to the Gravel catch, as soon as we arrived we saw a fish rise, also saw an otter and a kingfisher but no fish on the bank

river not what we expected fish all three pools with no luck, can't understand why spinning is not allowed now that it is single hooks and barbless hooks, makes no sense to what so ever, maybe somebody can tell me the reasoning

Stayed on the Left bank and didn't find many accessible swims. Should probably have explored the Right bank, as the river looks more accessible from there.
Spike and rope were helpful as banks were slippery.
Only 1 fished today.

Enjoyable day as always, I’ll be returning to this stretch, hopefully when river is running slower. Needs more up keep to allow safer and clearer access to river.
