fished the bottom field. river was dropping but still pacey so fished the margins and slack water. Lost one early to a snapped hooklink so moved swims. Had a cracking chub but then struggled for the rest of the day. 2 other fishersmen managed some decent barbel so they were there, just down to my lack of skills today.

pretty gopod day, but the barbel a bit shy. pellet feeder made up most of the catches...as usual the Chub are pretty obliging.

pellet feeder worked well, a smattering of barbel (nothing great), and loads of chub to keep us busy.

Tough day, a few fish came out, most on pellet feeder. Pike took luncheon meat.

Tough day, barbel pretty scarce but chub made up the for them. No biggies but nice to catch. Pellet feeder did the job.

River dropped 2/3 foot overnight…ice on my boots walking to the beat …. but when the sun got up … had 2 nice Barbel of around 5lb within 20 mins of each other.

River was up about 1.5 m and was also very snaggy . Only a few swims were fishable .Had three bites and managed to catch two nice barbel on luncheon meat up to 7 lbs . We had an enjoyable day and it would be a nice stretch with better conditions.
