1 brown trout, about a pound, on sedge at dusk, returned

It was a tough day at the office!! A fantastic location.

Tough conditions all weekend at the pools. Cold westerly gusting and lots rain. There was a brief window where the sun came out and the wind dropped. I found rising fish in a sheltered bay down the arm to the left of the first gate. Caught two lively brownies and dropped twice as many. Worth waiting for!

Fished Llyn Teifi and Egnant for most of the day. Strong winds, didn't see or touch a fish. Stunning spot though. Retreated back down to beat 5 of the Teifi about 7.30pm, two trout on a ptn, two on an elk hair caddis. Swung a small teal blue and silver through some likely looking pools as it got dark, briefly connected with something solid, but only for a few seconds.

Fished beat 5 of river teifi 7pm-9.30pm. 4 trout to a small elk hair caddis, walking and casting to the odd rising fish. Loads of water to go at, probably only covered a third of it.

2 small brown trout caught on beat 1 of the river teifi. Both on worm. Lost 1 fish on a dry fly.

Overcast, cool NW breeze, 11C. Saw only one fish rise on Llyn Teifi and two on Llyn Egnant all day. Fished a team of wet flies.
Hooked and lost a strong fish early evening on Llyn Egnant.
