Cold (8C) and sunny day with partial cloud cover. Brisk NW wind (17-20+mph), with medium waves. One other local angler took and returned 1 fish. No hatch or surface trout activity. Fished loch style with intermediate line. Sadly no contact this time but a cracking day out.

Good fishing weather , wind, ripple, overcast, some rain later- mostly 1/2lb fish coming to muddlers or Zulu's; one of 1 1/2lbs kept, rest returned.

Fished Llyn Teifi rather than Egnant. Fished from about 14.00 to 19.00. Good conditions in theory - breezy, overcast and mild. Lake looked to be 8 - 10 ft below normal. No insects hatching and not a single fish moving except the ones I rose (maybe 10). Caught 3, all about 6 - 7 oz. - not worth the effort of preparing them for eating so released. Used 3 fly cast - hedgehog, nymph and epoxy buzzer. They seemed not to be too picky.
First time I’ve fished here but frankly at 200 twisty miles return it’s too long a drive from Cardiff for what are likely to be very small fish.

A dull, windy and at times very wet day. Perfect conditions! Plenty of 9 - 14 inch trout about, with a couple of 16 incher's. Topped off with a cracker of 2lb 2oz for LE. Floating line and small traditionals worked well.

Two visits to the same Llyn couldn’t be more different . After a spell of unsettled weather , a return visit was needed. This time the water and air temp were much cooler , and the fish were smashing flies sub surface. Four seasons in a day , overcast and a good wave gets these fish up it seems . I had quite a few around the 10” mark and one specimen around 1 3/4 lb. beautiful fish and stunning location . A great day out , didn’t see another soul. Bibio did most of the catching .

Tough day, got there super early , nice and over cast and breeze (usually good for me and brownies), then that hot orange thing poked through around mid morning and was relentless! Tried everything in every way, traditional wets, leech patterns, floating , inter. Couldn’t get on a fish today. Stunning location, more homework required ! I’ll be back !
