Fished river beat 5, 4 wbt (3x - 12"-14") 1x 6" - River coloured and in spate due to rain the night before - all fish caight on nymphs using Joe Humphries techniques

This was the first time I had visited Llyn Berwyn, a lovely clean lake. I was fly fishing and there seems very limited access to fish the lake unless you have waders. It would have been a better day if I had been forewarned as fishing it was I was limited to a small area around the boat shed. If there was other areas to fish, a map or some advice of how to reach them would have been very helpful. I get the impression that this lake is really for boat fishing which, I presume, is for members only as there was no mention of it in my enquiries.
I had 2 small brownies quite early but the day was very hot and that was that. Quite a few rises towards the centre of the lake but way out of reach.

Very hard day at llyn Berwyn , very few rises, I managed to catch one on a black hopper and missed one on a black gnat , my partner had a blank day but life goes on !!

None caught - a few takes but missed them - some fish rising but not consistently so - enjoyed the day - lovely place but a little disappointed not to catch

overcast early caught a brownie on an iron blue dun, missed half a dozen, need to practice but what a lovely water.

Tough conditions. Bright sun and wind gusting across the reservoir from the corner by the boat shed. Found some fish along the bank by the road in the deeper water. The instructions need to be updated, though. The newsagents that purportedly has the key to the gate is no longer in business and there was no sign of life at the address given on the shop door. It was only a ten minute walk through the forest to the lake from the locked gate, but didn't appreciate the wild goose chase around Tregaron.

Fishing Passport Note : We've since learnt that new arrangements are going to be put in place for the key next season. Until then, for the short period to the end of this season, the walk from the gate will be necessary.

Lovely location , but I would not recommend fishing from the bank , the only way to fish llyn berwyn is by boat or float tube

Tried Llyn Berwyn today as I was told that it was sheltered and the conditions were very windy. Unfortunately, access to any fishable spots from the bank was impossible without a machette due the undergrowth and boggy ground. There is a boat house containing 2 boats, but these are not available for visiting anglers.

Fished the Teifi Pools. A beautiful wild location. Difficult conditions with wind and rain, but managed 1 lovely wild brownie
