Fished Beat 8 of the Teifi for a couple of hours. Nil return

All 5 trout caught on Bibio Hopper size 12 on Llyn Egnant. Best fish 1 lb

5 WBT and 1 salmon parr caught on beats 5 & 8 of river, water coloured after over night rain ... tried fishing Llyn but wind far too strong

2 WBT from Lyn Berwyn 12" and 15" and 2 WBT from beat 3 on river teifi 4" and 20"

Bright sunny day with very little breeze so not ideal conditions but a lovely place to spend some time.

The lock on the access gate appears to have been changed, I'll contact the Tregaron AA today and report the problem. It s only a 10 mite walk to the lyn, so no problem. Strong south westerly wind blowing, so could only fish the the bay in front of the boat house. A good fish snapped my leader 1st cast. Nothing thereafter.

4 caught, 2 retained by one angler, 2 caught none retained by another, none caught by third angler. Wild, wet and windy conditions. Bank access good and beautiful environment. Small natural imitation flies.

After a drive of over 3 hours I collected the key and proceeded to the fishery. The lock had been changed so I could not enter. The lady at the newsagent put me in touch with a committee member of the controlling association who made some phone calls to establish why the lock had been changed and who held a key. No joy.
So after 6.5+ hours travel in total incurring £60+ petrol costs plus my ticket cost I did not get to fish! Opportunities to go fishing are becoming increasingly rare for me due to work commitments so I was quite frankly livid at wasting the day as well as a significant amount of hard earned.

The committee member has offered my a days fishing in the future for which I am grateful.
