Miserable weather, but managed to fish for about 2 hours wading along the left hand side of the lake.
I eventually hooked one small fish around half a pound. Beautiful condition.
Only seen two fish rising.

An amazingly beautiful Llyn which we thoroughly enjoyed fishing. The day started off cold and drizzly but there were fish showing which was encouraging. Fish were tough to come by though, we fished every technique in the book and finally worked out that it was all about the speed of the retrieve. Lovely day with 10 trout up to over a pound in one of the most stunning settings that i've ever fished in. Will we be back?... of course we will.

A challenging fishery, certainly remote but that made the day even more special.
A warm overcast day with slight breeze making fishing very enjoyable. No sign of the man eating midges we had been warned about. A total of 7 WBT caught up to 14 inches, all top of the water, successful flies various coloured klinkhammers, bibios and G&H sedge. Banks a bit of a battle but wearing chest waders we pushed our way through the overgrowth.
Staying at The Talbot at Tregaron where we were extremely well looked after. We will be back.

Great location but disappointing that the only access to the 40 acre lake is at the boat house. No fish or visible fish activity.

Weather was poor with fog/mist and a strong wind so didn't fish.

Started fishing at around 11.00, sunny day, temperature around 18-19 degrees centigrade, with a changeable light wind. I fished with a dry fly from the boathouse end off the boulders. My third cast caught a 13oz brown trout on a Red Tag about 30ft out. Fish looked healthy, well marked and was taken.
Activity on the water was low for the rest of the day (fished until 4.30pm)- only one further bite despite changing flies a number of times. Nevertheless, an enjoyable day. One thing I would say is that it is not the easiest lake to wade in. I ventured out from the boat house hoping to move around the water to areas where there was more activity. However, the bottom was quite rocky and slippy in places and would advise a wading staff, access from the bank (other than near the boathouse)is not that easy.
I travelled from Herefordshire using the mountain road. The scenery is beautiful and the road has been resurfaced in many places - almost worth the angling fee for the journey alone!

More of a recce - started to fish then a party of school children (EBD) came and threw stones - teachers arrived too late!! Didn't envy them with that bunch!! Several sunken boats in the boat house - perhaps why gate is now locked?
Make sure you take the track which bends back and up from the CP and not the more prominent one heading onwards from the CP.
Lovely spot - collected key in Tregaron - 8 mile round trip. NB £10 deposit.
I came from east along the lovely mountain road (Tregaron sign-post missing). Cwm only a 1/2 mile walk from the viewing point car park so this could be an option.
Lovely day and a few hatching including dragon flies. Nothing rising. I'm very much a beginner and am due a much needed tutorial next week. Thanks to the Tregaron A/C.Happily retired teacher.
