River up about 2ft & pretty clear. Fished a few swims & caught from most using h/p & feeder. All fish in superb condtion. We managed to take 7 chub up to 4.5lbs & 5 barbel up to 8.5 lbs, all canoeist were very good & you could tell that they had been made aware of what to look for (lines) and how to behave when anglers are present so thanks to the canoe hire company and as always thanks to Dai and the rest of WUF staff for another day out on the Wye.

Rainy day but was still a good day. Stuck mostly to campsite (due to rain) which was close to Locksters Pool, beat 5. River at fair level, had 3 chub, 2 on dry and 1 on nymph, they were small but lovely looking fish. Next time will make a booking for the Upper Wye if that helps any first timer (like myself) make a decision of taking a fly rod to Whitney Court.

8 chub up to 4lbs and 2 Barbel approx 8lbs each. With the exception of 1 chub all caught trotting. 1 Chub on feeder with Pellet. Very disappointed with the lack of accessible swims. Late decision to fish the Wye and only place left that I could book on line as offices were closed. Would have liked to have fished Whitehouse as it was free but couldn't book online.

Nil bites. 18 inches down from Tuesday, clear, and I fished widely on beat 3 in a few hours evening session. Without the extensive weed this year I dont feel the food source is there and neither were the fish on this day.

No salmon caught (only one seen splashing very briefly), and no other fish seen at all. A very depressing day's fishing actually. I could have done with more action, and the water on that beat is not very varied or very interesting. I saw 2 cormorants right by the house where I parked (you wanted to know of such sightings).
WUF Note: Anglers are requested to report sightings of cormorants and goosanders to the Angling Trust's Cormorant Watch website: www.cormorantwatch.org
