Nice day fishing. Upstream runs are by far the nicest part. It's quite a long walk to get down past Llangoed pool. I expect there are good fish in the gutter below there but I couldn't find them.

A lovely day on the fishery, albeit a bit wet at times. Decide to try for the pools bream, on worm and feeder. Ended up with a bag of roach, two nice sized bream and a welcome 1lb plus perch. Great stuff. Many thanks WUF.

The rain didn’t stop flies hatching. All types from enormous march browns to little small upwings were out and the trout responded. But they were not interested in anything smaller than a size 12. A frustrating day for missed rises but managed 2. Such a lovely beat with so many good looking areas it’s a job to know where to start!

the difficulty getting in is almost impossible, but once you find away the fishing is very good , just wish some of the flood mats and fallen trees could be removed but the Dore is my go to as its close ,
all the fish were all rising so a stealthy approach is needed but once on they do fight well as they know the roots to head for The 5 fish all about 10 to 12" on a 14 Adams .,

No salmon seen. Shoals of shad throughout the beat, which were keen on a yellow Ally's Shrimp. Also caught 2 trout on the same fly, one of which was around 2.5lb.
