First time on the river. Following Storm Beatty water was a bit high. Fantastic scenery and Terry the keeper was very helpful in suggesting where to fish. No luck this time, but that's probably down to my skills. Have another 4 days booked on same stretch so looking forward to workig on my technique.

Great days fishing and a first time for me and my 10 year old son on the Wye. The river was running high which made it tricky in several areas, no joy on beat 3 or 4 but found a deeper run on beat 5 on the top bend. 5 chub all around 5lb and 4 barbel biggest just under 8. Had 1 chub also further along beat 5. All on feeder tactics.

Sunnier day. River up slightly more from previous day's rain. Felt like great conditions. All fish on either halibut pellet or pellet and paste from beat 3, left bank, outer bend. Both beards around 7lbs. Smashed up on two more. A great weekend, camping at The Pound, foraging at The Boat Inn.

Grey, blustery, showers, occasional sunshine. River up and coloured. Conditions felt good but fish hard to come by. All fish on either halibut pellet or pellet and paste. Mainly fished beat 3, left bank outer bend. One barbel c.12lbs (a PB), other 9-10lbs. Two excellent fish.
