Very tough conditions and lots of walking, we were rewarded with 1 pike for our efforts.

Very overgrown stretch of water, difficult to find parking.

Caught nothing and at 75 with disabilities every beat was too steep. No-one fault just one of those things

Two chub 3lb and 4lb approx. Both to meat and meat feeder, beat 4.

We were advised that the water was probably a bit high for most of this venue. It was good advice!
Had an interesting, exhaustive and thoroughly exhausting walk covering virtually the whole of this lengthy fishery until eventually one of our number declared 'No more', set up his stall where he ran out of steam, and promptly caught a barbel! this was a little way downstream from the toll-bridge. The other two of us in the meantime staggered into the tangled wilderness above the toll-bridge where we both lost the only two fish we hooked. Will return one day when conditions are less challenging – a wild bit of river in a beautiful setting.

A great day out in the bracing Wye valley. A lovely beat. weather mild and river clear. I felt I could have done better but enjoyed myself nonetheless.

Optimum conditions on a beautiful stretch. Despite this, bites were scarce. 4 of the Chub were in the 4 to 5 lb category. Lost one barbel. The better sized fish fell to luncheon meat and pork pie. Very little action on pellet.
