Lovely day but no fish, fished locksters and beats 1 and 5, spinning with Devons and flying 'C'. Water very cold and no fish movement seen at all.

Same as the day before, no fish caught or seen. Milder weather brought more fly off and there were plenty of trout rising to emergers.

No salmon seen or caught, but there were some excellent hatches of March browns and grannom. It may be a little early still for the better fly water, given the slow start to spring. Spinning in the deeper pools might be a better bet.

River it was dropping and clearing really well, it takes the fly in most of the pools now. I fished hard but not springers seen.
