1 Trout, 4 Barbel

Visiting angler Dr Bradshaw landed a fish 90cm long after an epic fight fishing a tiny Willie Gunn on a split cane rod and ancient Farlows reel which played up. 7.30 pm. Well done!

1 Salmon

Lovely beat and enjoyed the fishing even though we were baked in the 25 degree heat. Saw 6 salmon but didn't connect with any of them! Will book again another day.

All caught on float using 8mm carp pellets. I think its called watercraft..great location.

1 Trout, 5 Barbel, 11 Chub

Conditions good. Used upstream nymph - heavily weighted ones best. Pheasant tail most effective.

2 Trout, 1 Chub

The river was very low and over the three days was rising and falling by about 18inches. All fish were caught using pellets.

100 Barbel, 3 Chub

Excellent conditions Friday covering all of the beats. Plenty of Salmon showing on beats 6, 5 and 3 but sadly no takers. A good lift of water followed over the weekend. River now back to a very good height for us and weather forecast is good so we are ever hopeful.

2 Trout

Didn't start until lunchtime and all our endeavours came to nothing. We tried several different swims and tactics.

Lovely stretch of river thoroughly enjoyed our day with barbel from 5 to 8 lbs and chub to 5lbs, pellet and feeder tactics. Easy access and plenty of river to go at.
