Arrived with river in perfect condition /level. Had a red letter day using pellet and meat. Pellet in conjunction with a feeder and meat free lined. Had many chub and barbel. Fantastic day and will return soon.
Unfortunately did see several goosanders feeding.

Only fished beats 4 & 5. Used red flying C's and toby brass spoon, either of which are normally effective. Clarity of river was turbid but did see at least three salmon head/tailing near to the lodge.

River running high horrible chocolate brown. Fish feeder with pellet but conditions got worse. Will be back soon.

This is a really nice stretch of water, exactly how I like to see the Wye, lots of shallow gravel runs and islands. I had a good feeling about this place. I fished beat 3 which is only a little walk from the Boat Inn. Lots of cattle in the field behind that would occasionally make a charge through the field so beware! I used normal barbel tactics, pellet and feeder/pva etc. Didn't catch loads of fish but was happy to catch a nice chub just short of 5lb and a barbel at 7lb. Lovely venue, I enjoyed fishing here.

Fished 21st and 22nd June 2016. Finished with 8 Barbel to 8lb. 8 Chub to 4lb 6oz and 1 Brown Trout at 2lb

Rained all morning but river looked superb, just enough extra flow/colour. Fed three or four swims when I arrived and I caught steadily from 7:00 am. Stopped raining at about 11:30 am, and then the river started to rise alarmingly, within an hour all but 1 of the swims I had fed were unfishable, disappeared beneath an angry chocolate flood and the fish stopped feeding (only managed one chub in the afternoon/evening). The 7 Barbel ranged from 5lbs 4oz to 7lbs 2oz all caught on feeder/pellet. The chub all fell to the same method and were all around the albs mark.
First time on this stretch for me and as per normal I was not disappointed, thanks WUF.
Only saw two canoes all day and those passed by on the flood so quickly you could have water ski'd behind them!
