Again both anglers used cage feeders.. another steady following river for an excellent days fishing.

Short evening session. 1 chub. 1 eel (2lb 5oz)

The others were Dace caught trotting

Quick morning session before making our way back to Surrey. Shame we had to leave as I think a few more may well have come to the net! which incidentally I left behind when we left. ????

Regret only 2 hours fishing am - had to leave as friend unwell. Will be back to this beat soon, as previous 2 visits yeilded good barbel returns.

River very low only had a few knocks all day

2 decent chub on meat. 1 lost barbel hook pull.

Our favourite beats were all booked so we plumped for here as reports in the past have been good. After a bit of investigation we settled on the fast water at the top of the downstream section. None of the 3 of us has a bite in between 2 and 3 hours fishing. So Disappointing as it looked very barbelly. 2 of us then moved further down for 2 chub (2lbers) and a pristine pound barbel. Fished the last 2 hours till 1815 up the top for 2 pound chub and a snig. Fished a variety of hookbaits with pellet feeders. Still a nice day though
