Blanked. Very cold. No hatches

Reasonable hatch of LDO'S but very few fish rising.
Hooked 3 fish but only one came to the net.

Not a lot going on hatch wise. A few LDO's coming off about 12.30 pm and the odd fish rising but I was unable to tempt any.
The only fish taken was a brown about 1lb on a nymph.

No joy, I’m afraid. The conditions seemed pretty but no hatch observed and didn’t see any fish rising. Not interested in a variety of nymphs.

One 1lb brown trout caught on a size 12 nymph, both fish and river in super condition.

River clear but high and flowing quickly. When LDO's started hatching a few fish could be seen chasing and taking hatching nymphs near or at the surface but very few "rises" and all action was in the fastest water. The "ideal" dry fly water was covered in hatching nymphs but I did not see any taken. Back to the drawing board!!
