5 trout caught (& released) all about 1/2 lb to 3/4 lb. Great beat - the most productive area was at the top just below Gromain. Nymphs and dries (Elk Hair Caddis) the most productive. Big hatch of olives and caddis after about 7.30pm.

lovely day spent on the Wye, good hatches through all the day. All BTs catch with dry flies, and really good size. Switch to nymph to fish the middle section of the beat, and I come across the shad in the picture. Another great day on the Wye

After making an effort to delay my start to 3pm I was pleased to find lots of olives and a few Mays around and fish actively feeding, albeit not at the surface much. Plenty of attention from smaller trout in the riffles. A PTN with an orange bead accounted for about half and a black spider with silver rib the others. 12 trout to 12”, one oos grayling and two salmon parr.

Another great day, the day started fine and still but an annoying downstream wind made things challenging in the afternoon.
A steady flow of fly life and active fish throughout the day. The biggest trout of the day was just over 2lb caught in very deep water.

Lots of trout rising above mainly above the gutters and below the boat, three 8"-9" caught, a few missed, water cleared after a murky Sunday flow.
