Another great day on a fantastic fishery! The river was still a little high after the floods so the fishing wasn't the easiest but found some brilliant fishing on the inside of the bend downstream of the fishing hut on the stick float where chub to 5lb were more than obliging! There's definitely a lot more to the Wye than just Barbel. A big thanks to Monty & Robin who are fantastic hosts, know their stretch extremely well to put you on some fish no matter what the conditions may be and offer almost 'armchair' fishing on one of the UK's most rugged rivers! Will return next season without doubt.

Too much debris in the flow, just ripping the rod off of the bank within seconds. Gave up after whole Willow trees started floating past !!! Another visit needed.

We really enjoy fishing this beat. The whole beat is so well maintained with great access to the swims. if only the other beat owners did the same. Fishing was good with 7 barbel plus 4 chub. Two of the barbel were just over the pound so future looks great for the fishery. Plus some small chub. I will always try and fish here when I get the chance

Not a good day, very windy too many restrictions on where you can go and can’t go , ie can’t fish in front of the salmon hut can’t drive to the bottom swims can’t walk across the field. I won’t fish this beat again

Final day of a week long stay on the Wye and was lucky enough to land a magnificent Barbel of 10 lbs 13 oz,along with another nice fish of 8 lbs 7 oz,we both fished towards the lower end of the beat ,legering with pellets, really enjoyed the day and it was nice to say hello to Monty and his crew.Hope to return here next time.
