Water clear, height (Brecon gauge, 1'4". Water temperature 11C. Variable but strong downstream wind.
River looked great though little fly life and even fewer rises.

River in spate, highly coloured and unfishable. Frustrating!

Lovely mild and still day for early March. Nearly all of the action was on dry fly between 12.30 - 1.30, coinciding with trickle hatches of LDO and MB. Fish caught on Comparadun, DHE and Klinkhamer.

River in great order. Gin clear but cold. Very windy. All fish to euronymphing tactics and all returned

Beautiful March day, warm and sunny after a very wet number of weeks. First trip to the Usk.
Four trout hooked on tight line nymphs but only three landed, best 14".
The one and only fish I found rising fell to a retirer sedge. Muted hatch of March browns and BWO.
