5 trout, 3 on a pheasant tail nymph, 1 on a brown klinkhammer and 1 on a royal wulf. The morning was torrential rain, hence the nymph, sun came out and lots of fly life in the afternoon. Lovely day

The end of an enjoyable and productive week on the Wye and the Usk with most time spent at Ty Newydd. Plenty of fly life and fish caught on a variety of dries and nymphs.

River clear and low. A few fish showing. Lots of hatching flies with most trout falling to sub-surface spiders & a couple on dry fly (average size 1lb). Seemingly very few grayling compared to previous years/ trips.
