Lovely day no fish. Best bit is top half of beat

Nothing doing... loads of fish seen rising, jumping, and chuckling at my fly. Nice spot with good wading access

After work visit hoping to find an evening rise. Wasted an hour fishing nymphs on a french leader (in perfect conditions!) for just a small fish. Switched to a size 18 rusty spinner and started picking up fish in the pool tails and glides. All typical heavily spotted Usk fish from 10 to 14 inches. Finished just after 9pm, with a decidedly cold autumnal chill in the air.

First time out fishing. Tried spinning off the bank for Salmon but no joy. Hopefully someone can offer some help or advice as like to get my son into it too. Thank you

Fished late afternoon until dark, little in the way of activity until almost dark. All fish caught on dry fly.
