Very nice stretch of water and easy access . I will be back for another trip soon when the river level has dropped and better clarity to the water .

would have caught zero but for good old Colin the bailiff who moved as to a spot and we then caught . what a gem he is

Didn't fish.
River very high, banks very slippery and still raining first thing, so gave it a miss.

Very last minute booking for me as i had a spare day to take from work and the weather was looking good, so i thought..
This was a new beat to me, the beat i wanted was booked up and chose this one as it had been very prolific over the season.
As usual i chose the wrong bank (Mordiford side) although the river was done 2-3ft the usual fishing spots were still underwater, so pegs were very few and far between, anyways i found one eventually, the river was looking good although it was very pacy i did manage to find a few slacks, but unfortunately not a bite, with skys opening up from cloudy to bright sun shine i decided to pack in early and spent the rest of the day exploring the beat on the opposite site (which looked a lot more Barbel'y) ready for next year.
Thanks to the WUF and the land owners for giving us great access to a great river and all the nature that comes with it.
I'll be back next year.
