This beat is incredible, after no action the previous day further up river today was the complete opposite. I decided to fish purely for chub and wasn't disappointed with so many fish caught that I lost count. Feeding pellets for 40 mins before casting a speci waggler across it was fast and furious action with 3 fish over 5lbs and probably 12 over 4lb. Thanks to Colin for looking after the beat and all at WUF.

30 Chub

A very enjoyable 2 days on the river Wye on a very nice beat that is well looked after by Colin who came down to see us a very nice and helpful guy. We did well to catch 44 fish over 2 days considering it was pouring heavy rain most of the day on the Sunday and blue sky brilliant sunshine and very hot on the Monday, can't wait for our next visit.

10 Barbel, 34 Chub

Another very nice days fishing on the Wye, river was well up compared to the last few trips we've had, there was a lot of weed coming through but fishable. All fish fell to feeder tactics, and all fish were in very good condition. Was nice to meet Colin who showed his expertise with catching a nice salmon on his 2nd cast!!!!! .... A good day!!!!

8 Barbel, 7 Chub

To me this is the best stretch I have ever been to! Colin Richards who looks after and maintains the beat, deserves a gold medal. Fished with my fishing buddy Barry and had a smashing day.

5 Barbel, 12 Chub

I started on the far end of the fishery and unusually only caught 2 chub. It was difficult to cast to the barbel pool due to overhanging willows. I moved to the opposite end and managed to catch 2 barbel and 10 chub. GW caught 2 barbel and 2 chub mid beat. All fish fell to pellet feeder.

4 Barbel, 14 Chub

River very low and clear and weather very hot. We fished from 9.00am until 7.00pm patchy throughout the day, fed for an hour or so then went dead for a period, then came back on again for an hour or two. Altogether a good day at a lovely venue, but a very long walk. Thanks to WUF.

8 Barbel, 20 Chub

Conditions very difficult as river very low and clear. Caught regularly and any bait seemed to work. Fished bottom end and last swim seemed very snaggy. Good day on a lovely fishery.

9 Barbel, 21 Chub

River low and clear,bright sunshine some cloud,both used 4oz feeders and started catching chub averaging 3lb after approx 20 minutes friend started to catch barbel and chub midday. I caught mainly chub until approx 4 pm the Barbel moved into my swim resulting in 9 barbel friend caught approx 17 barbel averaging 6lb largest 7.5lb. Started fishing 11am finished 7pm fantastic session.Friend caught 17 Barbel and 35 Chub I caught 9 Barbel and approx 25 chub fantastic session.

26 Barbel, 60 Chub

Cold downstream wind and the river fairly low. Hard to find the barbel amongst the chub but a pleasant day as usual. Pellet and feeder successful.

4 Barbel, 20 Chub

Another great day on the Wye. Barbel were a bit slow all day. However they couldn't get to the bait before the hungry chub. Barbel between 7 and 8 lbs. Pellet feeder used
Also Waggler with carp pellets. Lost count of the chub in the end but I think 30 ish would be a fair guess
