The river had dropped about a foot, the current had slowed and had a nice colour. All fish taken on a swimfeeder with pellets as bait. Only fished until early afternoon as high winds were forecast. A very nice day thank you.

The river was well up and the flow pushing hard. Found a couple of swims on the inside of a bend and had two barbel on meat. The weather was mild and it's a very well kept beat. Thanks again, will return in the summer.

First time on this stretch. Best swim access we have experienced on W&U beats. River in perfect condition, weather wet windy and very mild for time of year. Barbel 4-8 lb on pellet and meat. Fish came steadily throughout the day. We now understand why this beat is so popular but perhaps doesn't present the same rewarding challenges as the wilder beats.
Thanks W&U, usual fab scenery.

Yet another lovely day fishing on the Wye. Started off on the float but could only manage a baby trout. Moved onto feeder but weed made that difficult! Moved down stream and had some nice chub and a barbel. A very nice well maintained beat with easy access to swims.

Another great day and good looking conditions but a real struggle to raise a bite in the heavy amount of leaves in the river. Lovely stretch of river as usual. Otter was seen early in the day out in the river harassing fish I guess, hope the barbel will survive this winter! Another great day out on the wye. Thanks wuf.

A foggy start gave way to a lovely mild autumn day and it was really good to be out fishing. With a little more water in the river it was surprising that the fish were reluctant to feed and we both had to work hard and move around for bites. Late in the day a little flurry gave us three barbel and two chub to add to two barbel caught before lunch.
