Managed a 7.5lb barbel from one of the middle croy's in the morning, but fishing was difficult due to weed volume in the rising river. Spent the afternoon below the bridge in faster water. This resulted in four average size barbel, to conclude another enjoyable day on this idyllic stretch.

Pools were unfishable, due to the amount of weed coming down river. Fished wider stretch down river had 5 barbel, 3 chub then had to pack up due to the heavy weed. Beautiful stretch, will be back.

A good fun day's fishing off the croy's, resulting in 8 barbel to 6lb and a nice 4lb chub. All on pellets.

River very very low. Tried a number of swims throughout and caught a lot of weed and not a lot else. Was slightly peeved to find the beach section already being fished from the other side via syndicate water. The idea was to pay the higher fee and have the whole stretch to ourselves. Undoubtedly a good looking piece of river and would try again with higher water levels.
WUF Note: Caradoc is single (right) bank fishing only as stated in the Passport brochure and on the website. If double bank fishing is a requirement, please contact us on 01874 711 714 to find out which beats would suit.

River low and clear, saw very little fish movement. We tried several spots but with little success. For a water that can normally produce some good catches a very disappointing day, especially at the increased price.

River was slightly coloured, and was dropping after being up this week. 9 barbel and 1 chub came from 1 swim, the other 8 barbel came from 3 separate swims. We caught on 8mm halibut pellets. Don't spend too long in a swim if it's not producing.

River had risen about 2 foot on Thursday, now fined down and looked good. K had 3 barbel, best 7lb and 1 Chub 4lb-8oz. G had 1 Barbel 8lb-12oz and 1 Chub 4lb-5oz. T had 1 Barbel 7lb and 1 Chub 4lb-3oz. All fish caught on halibut pellets.
Nice stretch. Don't know if us 3 old pensioners can afford £45 for a days coarse fishing next year!

Very low and clear water, not a great deal of flow. No bites all day on a variety of methods and at various locations along the stretch.
Highlight of the day was two Chinook helicopters coming at speed and at treetop height up the river, so low you could feel the downdraft and clearly see the pilots.
