My first ever blank on the Wye. Torrential rain for most of the day meant the banks became treacherous, severely limiting the pegs that were fishable. Not a sniff of a fish and I fear the amount of rain will put paid to the 3rd of my 3 planned days on Saturday. Disappointing end to the season. There's always next time....

The weather played a big part in today’s fishing. The banks became quite dangerous. Just 1 chub. But good to be on the river.

This is a lovely beat made even better by a 12lb 1oz barbel caught by PB. Overall bites were few but the Wye rarely disappoints!
River was 1m at the Ross gauge and steady with a little tinge of colour.
Other fish were a 6lb 2oz barbel and 4lb 4oz chub.
2 Barbel, 1 Chub
