Arrived to slightly coloured but clear water, and the prospect of a full day of raining ahead. We fished the downstream part of the beat below the bend (Chapel Catch area) and landed some nice trout to 14” and small grayling, and a surprising Twaite Shad! All on Holy Grail and Dark Knight nymphs fished Euro-style, from the channels formed in the bedrock of the river bed. However, two days rain (or they opened the floodgates in the Elan Valley) caught up with us over lunch where the river rose several inches and coloured up, full of detritus….leaves and weed on every cast. Stopped fishing! Nice morning though

Fished the lower part of the beat. Heavy rain showers and river level quite high and coloured. Will come back in better conditions. Nothing caught, no bites. Found a box of flies. Will return them if you get in touch.

Got to the river water level already high from previous rain and continued to rise and colour so that by about 1pm was unfishable and still rising.
However is a truly beautiful stretch and fabulous bird life to watch.

Only fished 3 hr's before lunch. River rose and colored up. Mayflys hatching, yellow one's.
Trout were in the mill stream and bridge pool flats. Salmon jumped in lower end of Rectory pool under the wires. Hobby was catching and eating mayflys. Woodpecker's nest in a hole in the ash tree above the road bridge. Lovely place to spend the morning.

River rose over a foot in 6hrs, high, fast and very coloured, lots of sediment, and for my first time at Dina’s, made for very difficult wading as couldn’t see the bottem anywhere. Windy, multiple rain showers .Managed 3 on heavily weighted copper pheasant tail under an indicator
